Code of Conduct

AEThER: Atmospheric Empirical, Theoretical, and Experimental Research is a multidisciplinary

effort comprising members with diverse professional backgrounds, genders, ages, ethnicities, and

other identities. It is expected that every AEThER team member will treat other members, staff,

and everyone that they meet with courtesy, respect and professionalism at all times. AEThER

meetings and activities are community events intended for networking and collaboration as well as

learning. We value the participation of every member of the community and want all participants

to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, all participants are expected to

show respect and courtesy to other participants throughout any event and in interactions online

associated with the team.

The AEThER team does not tolerate unprofessional conduct, discrimination, intimidation or sexual

harassment. We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless

of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance,

body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), technology choices, or other group status. Any

incident that runs contrary to the AEThER culture of collegiality and this Policy on Respect

should be reported immediately to Anat Shahar, the PI, at ashahar@carnegiescience.edu
